Not only is Spring a great time .flowers, and .wedding, but also, why not update your virtual wardrobe with .fashion or plant the seeds for a bright, new future online with .garden?  These last two are enter the GoLive phase on April 15, when either will be available for a one-year registration at A rates for $38.33.

We're not very good at speeches, so we'll try to keep this one short. We've known .WEDDING for a long time. Longer than we'd like to admit ...

Spring has sprung again and with it, of course, comes the obligation to buy plane tickets and household goods from a list of pre-approved gifts at the retailer of your choice … but if you want your wedding to be special, maybe a .WEDDING would do the trick. Luckily, .WEDDING is entering the GoLive phase this Wednesday, April 8 at 7:00 AM PDT sharp.

.TIROL, the geographic TLD for the Austrian region of Tyrol (the spelling of which is Tirol in German), famous of course for its ski resorts, among other things, is now entering the Landrush phase as of Monday, April 13th. But it's not just for skiing. If your company, organization or association has ties to Tyrol, what better way to strengthen your identity than to purchase a .TIROL domain?

During this phase, .TIROL domains will be available for $255.78.

Or maybe you want to take the bunny hill and register when it enters the GoLive phase on June 1, when it will be available for $41.38.

Register a .tirol?

Officially, the new .TOP gTLD is about "breakthrough," since the Chinese word for "breakthrough" is similar in pronounciation to "top" but we foresee a lot of other options for .TOP domains. You could go the spinning children's toy route or you could go with world domination in a particular area.  Maybe you like shirts and blouses and things. Or, consider that TLD itself stands for top-level domain. In any case, .TOP has been in Golive since November 17 and now it's finally available from Gandi, for a one-year registration at A rates for $27.37.

Like the large majority of extensions, you can now register your .FR domains for up to 10 years if you wish.

Until recently, the maximum duration of a .FR registration was one year. It was therefore necessary to renew your domain before the anniversary date - which is no longer displayed in the whois, and is replaces with a more customary expiration date.

As with most extensions, the maximum duration can not exceed 10 years to the day. If you have a .FR domain that is currently active, you can therefore not add more than 9 years to it. For transfers, the operation will add one year to the domain's expiration date rather than reinitialise it to the anniversary date.

Note that this important modification is also true for the other national extensions managed by Afnic: .RE, .YT, .WF, .TF, and .PM.

Nothing else changes with their operations.

All that precipitation across just about everywhere but California this winter has meant an explosion of flowers: beautiful red and yellow tulips, purple lilacs, spring is in the air! And so is pollen. The geographic extension for one of the world's great port cities, Osaka, is now entering the GoLive phase. Say it out loud with us: "Osaka. Osaka. Osaka." Doesn't it just make you start dreaming of takoyaki or battera with refreshing Osaka sake strolling along the Dōtonbori canal at night with those flashing neon lights? If you have the same fantasy as us (or if you live it!), then a .OSAKA domain might be for you.

To qualify for a .OSAKA domain, you need to either be a resident of the prefecture of Osaka, either as a natural person, a company, or one of the communes in the Osaka prefecture or have a direct or indirect link with the prefrecture of Osaka.

.NRW, the new geoTLD representing the German region of North Rhine-Westphalia, has entered the GoLive phase. To register a .NRW domain, you must have a business or residence address in one of the region's postal codes.
