Instance families

With Gandi's Simple Hosting, an "instance" corresponds to a secure, isolated, and dedicated hosting space. All you need to do is to choose what pack you want and give it a name!

Simple Hosting was conceived as a multi-platform system, and we will be adding more instance families as we go along. In the short term we will be providing you with static HTML and Python/MySQL instances.

• PHP/MySQL: This instance family is for webmasters that would like to host dynamic websites. You will have FTP access in order to upload files and create directories, and a PHPmyAdmin interface for managing your databases. You can attach as many domain names to your instance as you want, meaning that you can host as many websites as you want on it: you are only limited by the max number of pageviews of your pack, which you can upgrade if needed!
  • PHP 5.3 - MySQL 5.1 - PHPmyAdmin
• Static HTML: (available in mid-2012) You don't need a database, and your website does not change too much? Well then this is the instance family that would be best for you. It is a configuration that makes up the foundation of the web: a static server that interprets HTML pages and JavaScript. That's all! An elegant service for a minimal price.
  • HTML - JavaScript
• Python/MySQL: (available in mid 2012). This family is for webmasters that would like to host dynamic websites based on the Python programming language.
  • Python 2.7 - MySQL 5.1
