Procedures
Since December 2009, as the Registry has changes the registration conditions, Gandi no longer provides registration of .CN domain names.
For customers who have an existing .CN domain name, the registry may request the following documents:
- The "domain name registration application form" with the seal of the business or the signature of a representative of the business;
- A copy of the official registration document of the business;
- A copy of a passport, resident card/ID or driver's license of the applicant.
Should it fail to receive such required documents within established deadlines, the Registry can delete the domain name.
Renewal: up to 2 days before the expiration date
Disputes: policy, rules
Transfer (change of Registrar): the process is started on the new registrar's interface with an auth code. Ensure that your domain does not have a TransferProhibited status, will not expire in less than 15 days and is older than 60 days. The effective transfer depends on your validation (by e-mail).
